Ruud Derwig <ruud.derwig@...>

Dear all,

The ELC-E organizing committee would like to remind you it's only 2 weeks till ELC-E 2009 in Grenoble.

Did I mention the exciting social event Thursday night already?
We'll have a cocktail buffet at the Restaurant du Téléphérique at la Bastille, and go there via cable-car transportation (the famous "bubbles").
This one of the most typical place in Grenoble with a panoramic view of the city and mountains.

For logistic reasons, we kindly request you to no postpone registration till the last moment.
We cannot guarantee a place for the social event for people that register later than October 5.

For registration and more info, visit:

The next Embedded Linux Conference event is upcoming: ELC-E 2009, October 15&16, Grenoble France.
I'd like to inform you that registration has opened, and we managed to line up a very exciting program this year!

Keynote speakers Jon Masters and Philippe Gerum will talk about recent trends in Linux porting and real-time Linux - from two isolated kernels to a single pervasive real-time system. Also Gilad Ben-Yossef will present a talk, completing the main writers of the well-known book "Building Embedded Linux Systems". Another famous Linux author, Alessandro Rubini, will talk about the use of the fast IRQ in ARM-Linux, and many more topics will be addressed ranging from embedded Linux distributions and build systems to application frameworks for rich UI. Please see the program and session list for a complete overview.

Furthermore, there will technical showcases and as part of the Embedded Systems Week (ESWEEK) there are more interesting events around ELC-E to check, see our main website:

P.S. There are still a few tables left for the technical showcases, see http://tree.celinuxforum.org/CelfPubWiki/ELCE2009TechnicalShowcase if you're interested.
