Just wanted to add an alternative viewpoint. There's a great article

With new additions to CSS 3, there's much more support for formatting
documents for printing, creating books, etc. There's a very useful
Open Source command line tool for converting from HTML to Postscript
or PDF:

PhantomJS also provides capabilities for converting from HTML to other
formats such as PDF or graphics:
